Dr. Osuri Yau is an enthusiastic orthodontist in Cooper City, FL with a positive attitude towards life that is inspiring! Dr. Osuri Yau is a board-eligible orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), passionate about creating healthy, beautiful smiles. With almost two decades of orthodontic experience, she combines advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate, personalized approach. Her philosophy centers on providing care in a gentle, relaxed environment, where every patient feels comfortable, supported, and confident in their orthodontic journey.
Dr. Yau began her dental education at the University of Panama, graduating third in her class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). During this period, she became passionate about orthodontics, recognizing its unique ability to create functional, beautiful smiles that change lives. She pursued advanced training at the University of Puerto Rico, earning both her Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD). Her research has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO), and she received second place at the university’s Annual Forum of Research and Education.
At Symmetrix Orthodontics, Dr. Yau combines her years of experience and training with the latest orthodontic innovations, including self-ligating braces, Invisalign®, Invisalign Teen®, temporary anchorage devices as well as dental facial orthopedics. She works meticulously to achieve symmetry—the essence of a beautiful smile—while building strong connections with her patients, taking time to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure every visit is positive and stress-free.
Dr. Yau feels it is important to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Society of Orthodontics.
Outside the office, Dr. Yau enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter, and their sweet dog, Daisy; as well as with her family and friends. She also loves traveling to new places, enjoying new recipes, relaxing at the beach, trying new restaurants.

Born and raised in Colombia, Angie now calls Florida her new home. What she loves most about working in orthodontics is building lasting relationships with patients and their families. She enjoys watching her patients grow and seeing their smiles transform over time. Being part of the team is especially rewarding because “it feels like family”, and she values the supportive, fun environment they share every day.
A few fun facts about Angie: she can’t start her day without coffee, and her favorite order is an iced latte coffee. Three words that describe her are adventurous, silly, and friendly. She dreams of traveling to Tokyo, Japan, and her patients might be surprised to know that she studied at Oxford, England!
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their beloved golden doodle.

Alondra has a knack for remembering each patient’s favorite braces color and enjoys staying active with yoga and running. Her favorite snack? McDonald’s fries! Three words that describe her are caring, motivated, and fun. She is also studying to pursue a second career—let’s see what exciting path that will be! One place on her travel bucket list is Medellín, Colombia, and her patients might be surprised to learn just how adventurous she is outside the office.
